Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI is a great buy for anyone just getting into digital photography, but there's not much new for current users of Paint Shop Pro 9 and up.

A few pros for the Paint Shop Pro Photo include: its affordable, yet full-featured and flexible, it offers a nice mix of fun and serious tools, and it combines photo editing, retouching, painting, drawing, and image management into one package. It also comes with new instructional videos to make the learning of the product fun and simple.

There are a few cons with Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI as well. Like if you bought the program for graphic design well you may not be overly happy. It is generated more for the photo editing aspect rather than general purpose graphics. It no longer comes with something referred to as Animation Shop. Unfortunately for Corel, users have also reported problems of slow start-up, poor performance, stalls, and crashes, although most programs will have similar complaints.
